NAT CLASS INFORMATION

Muscogee
Manor Center provides on the job training for anyone qualified to become a
Certified Nursing Assistant. To qualify one must pass a background check,
drug test, and interview. One must possess a high school diploma or GED, be available to work
Monday-Sunday, first and
second shift. First shift is 6:45am - 3:15pm and second shift is
2:45pm - 11:15 pm. This is a paid ($7.25hr) training that last
approximately 30 days.
The class consist of classroom and hands on training. The class is Monday - Friday. The first 12 days of the course are in the classroom 8am -3:30pm. The remainder of the 5 weeks are spent doing clinical in the nursing home. The hours vary throughout the rest of the course; typically the hours are 1st and 2nd shift.
The students are responsible for purchasing their required
uniforms and any other additional classroom materials, etc.
To complete the course one must score 70% or better on all daily quizzes /test.
Attendance is a very critical part of completing the course . To finalize your certification, one must pass the GA State
Certification Board Exam. This exam is 150 questions and 5 hands-on skills
demonstration.
Required uniform for female CNA's Light Gray or Pewter colored scrubs (top & bottom), male CNA's Light Gray, Pewter or Navy Blue colored scrubs, white shoes & white socks or stockings. Tennis shoes may be wore as long as they are in good condition and are white. Students are expected to be dress in uniform the first day of class.
After completing the NAT course at Muscogee Manor you are guaranteed a position, either on first or second shift. Your pay would increase to $8.00 hr.
